Wonders
The Memphis International
Cultural Series was established in 1989 to continue
the success of the Ramesses the Great exhibition
that drew approximately 675,000 visitors to downtown
Memphis in 1987. Since that time, WONDERS has
produced seven blockbuster exhibitions including
Catherine the Great, Splendors of the Ottoman
Sultans, The Etruscans, Napoleon, Imperial Tombs
of China, TITANIC: The Exhibition, Ancestors of
the Incas, and has hosted World War II Through
Russian Eyes. WONDERS exhibitions are presented
in 40,000 square feet of galleries modeled after
the architecture of the featured culture or historical
era.
